Terms of Service

Ordering a commission

I generally accept commissions through my application form. I announce these openings on my Twitter, BlueSky, FA and my Telegram channel. You can also express your interest through my waiting list form. I will contact you as soon as a suitable slot opens for your commission. You can ask questions and quotes anytime via email (kippycube at gmail dot com) or Twitter DM's.The form will ask you the following:> What category of a commission you are ordering
> A description of what you want
> If you have references available (clear visual references with flat colors highly preferred)
> Your contact information
> Your Paypal address (you won't be invoiced without your consent)
Here's how the process goes:> Based on your description I will give you a quote. If you decide to order, I will send you an invoice requesting the whole payment upfront and will start sketching your commission. Please note: If I don't hear from you within a reasonable time period after offering you a slot, I will offer the slot to someone else.> I can do up to 3 rough sketches in case you are not completely sure of the content at this stage. Please be clear with your instructions, I cannot work with requests that are too vague. I may need to ask for an extra fee on a case by case basis, if the customer requests extra revisions beyond this.> After you have approved the sketch, I will start working on finishing your commission as soon as possible. Depending on the complexity of your commission and my general workload at the time, completion may take up to three months.> I may show you WIPs and/or stream the process on my Twitch channel, you can also follow my Trello.> You will get an image the size of 8.5 x 11" at 300 dpi. If you want a painting in different size, please let me know in the beginning of the process and we can discuss the price.

I do/don't draw

I do draw regular animals of any kind, fantasy creatures and other natural themes such as landscapes/scenery.I do NOT draw trademarked characters, hardcore mature themes or illegal subjects. I may refuse drawing other subjects not mentioned here if I don't feel comfortable with it.

Payment & possible extra fees

I accept payments via Stripe (highly preferred) and Paypal invoices in US dollars. Please do not send me any payments yourself unless prompted by me first. At the moment I don't offer payment plans. If you wish to tip me, you can do so (but not obligated) via my Ko-fi!I will charge extra if:> You ask for something that is highly detailed or complex in the character design or background
> You ask for changes after you have approved the sketch or I have finished your commission
> You request a tight schedule (I might not agree to this if I feel I would not be able to keep my promise)
Extra fees are not applied if it's about a mistake made by me.

Cancellation & refunds

Both of the parties have the right to cancel the commission at any time, no reason has to be stated. If a commission is cancelled, commissioner will receive the unfinished version. After paying the invoice, full refunds will never be given if I have started sketching your commission. The amount always depends on how much of the commission got done:> Rough sketch started - 90% refund
> Refined sketch done - 80% refund
> Coloring process has started - refund amount varies
> After finishing a commission, refunds will never be given.

You will always own the character's copyrights, but I retain the right to publish the commissioned art work online and use it commercially (for example selling prints or merch) if the image is suitable for such use.My regular private commissions are always non-commercial, which means you are allowed to post it on your own galleries, make a print or two for your own use, use as icons or backgrounds on your desktop etc., but please do not use the commissioned work for any commercial purposes. I will always include a small signature in my work.If you wish to use the artwork for commercial use, please let me know in the beginning of the process and we can discuss it.

FAQ

1. Are you open? When are you open next time?Lately my commission openings have been varying, I cannot promise regular openings. Please ask!2. Are your commissions "first come, first serve"?No. I will always consider if the commission idea presented is something I'm capable of doing. However, I do tend to close my commissions after a day or two if I get a high volume of inquiries to allow myself some time to answer everybody. I try to give time for folks in different time zones to have a chance.3. Can I post the commissioned art on my deviantART, Twitter, or any other social media?Yes you may post it, all I ask is that you credit me properly and don't claim that you made the artwork.4. Can I ask changes or additions in the future after my commission is finished? In general I consider a commission finished after completion, however with reference sheets changes and additions afterwards can make sense (a fee will be charged). Other types of commissions I will most likely refuse.5. Can you teach me how to draw?Sorry, but I really don't have the time to do that individually and will not reply messages asking this, or asking for feedback on your artwork.
